EVEN ODD TRAFIC FURMULA

Since the Odd-Even traffic formula has been implemented in Delhi, it has been became the matter of debate. Some people are in support for this idea and some are against of this. According to rule odd number vehicles will be three days on the road and even number vehicles will be three days on the road. Emergency services will remain free from any such rule. Yet, it is question mark weather it would succeed or not.

The population of Delhi is almost 2 million, therefore the citizen of Delhi has to face a huge traffic. It is considered the rule of even-odd may help in reducing the huge traffic on the roads.

Another major problem of Delhi is Poilution, Recently Delhi has been ranked most polluted city in the world. Reduction in number of vehicles on the road will definitely help to reduce the pollution levels. But we should not forget that our public transport infrastructure is not maintained properly therefore less number of vehicles may become the reason of inconvenience for general people.

Government must come out with long term plan to get rid of traffic & pollution. Above all, public needs to be cooperative with government any step which is taken to reduce the pollution and traffic because without public cooperation authorities cannot make much difference.
