Brief Summary
Peddler and his perception about the World: This story is all about a Rattrap seller. He went around to sell small rattraps of wire. He mode them himself with the help of old material which he got by begging in the stores or big farms. His business was not so profitable so he started begging or stealing. He was physically very weak One day a though struck him which was quite entertaining for him. According to him the entire world was just a big rattrap and it tempts people. Everything like richness, shelter, food, clothing ere one the baits as we offer cheese or pork in the rattrap. As we try to touch it, we trap and things come to end.
Peddler meets with The Crofter: One evening he was walking on the road and saw a crofter's cottage. He knocked at it and found sold man. The crofter was alone so he was please to find someone to talk to him. He offered the peddler dupper bed and played card with him. The crofter, who had no wife children, was very talkative and shared much about himself with the peddler. The crofter talked to him for long time and told him about his ex-profession, family etc. He showed the peddler his 30 Kronor. He mentioned that he has earned this money after selling the cow's milk.
